World Cup Groups announced

The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been held in Washington, D.C., setting the group-stage matchups and mapping out the road to the final.

Several groups immediately stand out as heavyweight clashes, though the three host nations — United States, Canada and Mexico — will be pleased with how the draw unfolded. Among the marquee group-stage fixtures are Brazil vs Morocco and France vs Norway. Traditional powers such as Argentina, England, Spain and Germany also appear to have received manageable paths to the knockout rounds.

Below are the 12 confirmed groups for next summer’s tournament:
