Nnadi and Chiefs win another Super Bowl

Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi won his second Super Bowl on Sunday night as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

Nigerian- American Nnadi also won Super Bowl LIV in Feb. 2020. He was a third-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2018 draft. As he did previously in 2020, Nnadi is paying off adoption fees for every dog at a local Kansas City shelter.

Joshua Kaindoh is also on the injured reserve for the Chiefs. He was a fourth-round pick in 2021.

Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes shrugged off an ankle injury to lead the team to victory.

Things looked bleak for the Chiefs in the first half when Mahomes appeared to re-injure the right ankle that had been a major worry coming into the game.

Playing on the injured ankle, Mahomes threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter and scrambled 26 yards on the go-ahead drive before kicker Harrison Butker knocked in a 27-yard field goal with 8 seconds left to give the Chiefs the 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

The Chiefs won their second NFL title in four years and two time NFL MVP Mahomes earned his second Super Bowl MVP award.

“I thought guys just embraced the moment,” Mahomes said about rallying from a 10-point halftime deficit. “In that first half, we were playing and doing some good stuff, but I felt like the guys were getting consumed by everything around us.”
